The Bronx District Attorney’s Office uses a range of statistical data to continuously improve prosecution policies, understand performance and effectiveness, and inform policy makers and the public about the criminal justice system in the Bronx.
Data dashboards offer the community accurate and up-to-date information on the key prosecution metrics in Bronx County, in an accessible and interactive way. Data will be updated every three months in order to provide the most complete information available on prosecutions. These dashboards were updated on January 10, 2024.

Illustration of the Criminal Case Process
The data presented on the following pages is structured following the flow of a criminal case through the court system. The figure below illustrates how a case flows through the criminal justice process, beginning with an arrest by NYPD and ending with case disposition and sentencing (far right of the figure).
At each stage in the case process, important decisions are made with regard to the case. The header boxes at the top of the figure indicate the main decision points at each stage in the process, while the specific steps in the figure identify the measures of interest at each stage. Decision points and key outcomes are described in more detail below.
